Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter to co-publish LT25 proceedings
Peter Kes, on behalf of the organizing committee for LT25, says:
We are very pleased to have IOP Publishing as the publisher of the Proceedings of the 25th International Conference on Low Temperature Physics LT25 in Amsterdam 6–13 August 2008. The congress will be a large global event in the field of low temperature condensed matter physics reporting on novel developments in quantum gases, liquids and solids, superconductivity, quantum phase transitions, electronic quantum transport, and cryogenic technologies and applications. The agreement with IOP Publishing gives us a convenient solution for the publication of the proceedings, which will be published in Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter and in Journal of Physics: Conference Series, an online journal for conference proceedings. We look forward to working together with IOP Publishing.
Fine-tuning lasers to destroy blood-borne diseases like AIDSPhysicists in Arizona State University have designed a revolutionary laser technique which can destroy viruses and bacteria such as AIDS without damaging human cells and may also help reduce the spread of hospital infections such as MRSA.
